Steve Jobs “trivial” to dump Flash claim

This article from Gawker talks about Steve Jobs’ demonising of Flash to Wall St Journal execs.  He describes it as a “dying technology”, a new line for dumping it (ie: its also a battery/CPU hog, buggy etc.  No doubt Hitler would have used Flash). I supported apple dumping the floppy disk, firewire etc, because there were superior solutions.  With Flash there is a pretty clear business motivation for Apple, but they are denying users unique web experiences that, today, no other technology can do better. I suspect its a business not a technology justification in this case.
