Hope for playing Farmville on iPhone and iPad

There is an app for iPad and iPhone called teleport that allows you to access your desktop screen through the mobile device via internet.  This could include a browser running farmville.  Apparently it takes a bit of getting used to, but for all you desperate Farmville addicts out there, that want to play Farmville on iPhone or iPad, perhaps it might work.  I wouldn’t make a purchase decision on the basis of it, until I had a report of someone who had done it… there would be a lag in responsiveness as every command goes through the internet. If anyone tries it, write back to us about your experiences.  It costs $25.

In the meantime, sign our petition and tell Apple to support Flash games like Farmville on their mobile devices!

Update: a web (as opposed to App) solution for accessing flash through iPad via remote computer is log-me-in. People claim to have run flash on iPad with it. https://secure.logmein.com/US/home.aspx

Update #2: A specialist remote service geared specifically to browsing flash content on the iPad has launched – called Cloud Browse.  Please report back if you try out that service for Farmville!

  1. [...] Flash games like farmville won’t be available on iPad unless separately sold (yes! maybe sold!) through the App store.  Update: there are ways for the iPad to open desktops on remote computers that people say allow flash pages to be accessed through the iPad… see detailed report [...]
