Flash demo’d on tablet… sky doesn’t fall

iPad-Flash NewsPublished May 5, 2010 at 9:02 pm 4 Comments

Report and video of hands on with prototype Android tablet, including running flash.  And Steve Jobs claim that flash and touch would never work technically?  Oh yeah, that was FUD.

The reviewer says:

“It runs Adobe’s Flash and Air apps flawlessly.  That was the first time I saw Adobe’s Air apps running on a tablet and totally impressed by how it ran.  And now I can understand why Apple wants to ban Flash and other Adobe products completely from their iPhones and iPads, because it’s rather incredible technology.

The prototype that was demo-ed at the Web 2.0 Expo show was showing the current workings of the Wired magazine’s Google Tablet app.   Certainly, it looks like Google Android tablet will make a big impact on worldwide tablet sales.

I, for one, want to get one of these over an iPad, simply because I need the choice of having “flash” on my tablet computer.   What’s the point of carry a 10-inch slab of technology if it doesn’t give you the best of both worlds?”

Hanging out for an android tablet?  Apple needs to know: sign our petition.

Ummm, I won’t be signing any petition. If you watched the video in that “review”, he used Flash for less than five minutes and it crashed.

He blatantly lied about Flash running well at all, then posted the evidence that he was lying.

    Me thinks Apple is right.

Hmm, you’re right! The one where he scans through the magazine is pretty convincing, but I must say, if the best they can do it post a crappy video of it crashing, someone isn’t trying very hard… apple still does have the upper hand on tech AND marketing, I’ll give them that…

  3. Dopey says:

Thank you for providing us with the clear evidence of Flash crashing! Flash is nothing but a crappy, buggy, unsecure and proprietary stuff.

  4. Sherman says:

The first one to build a bridge from flash to HTML5 wins.
