NYT iPad ready/not ready – iPad feature?!

The “iPad ready” (according to Apple) New York Times website features a beautiful exploded interactive illustration of the iPad … in flash!  It can’t be viewed on iPad.   Arrgh… you’re messing with our heads, NYT!

Be inspired…NOT. Ebay on iPad – you see a big white space on the home page!  There is of course, an easy solution for ebay: buy an iAd (Apple revenue cut – 40%).

This is a really good site… we left our 6 year old on it, and he could navigate it really well.  It is a whole bunch of informative interactive flash animations on various subjects aimed at kids… I really don’t think you could create brainpop on HTML5!

Flash games like farmville won’t be available on iPad unless separately sold (yes! maybe sold!) through the App store.  Update: there are ways for the iPad to open desktops on remote computers that people say allow flash pages to be accessed through the iPad… see detailed report
