A common misconception is that Flash requires a mouse to work. It can be programmed that way, but other touch screen devices that support flash find in practise this is a non-issue. Its analysed in detail here

HTML5 is a new standard that will handle a lot of the animation etc. effects that have, until now, only been possible using Flash. No doubt, over time, Flash will decline. But today, Flash remains the web multimedia standard. Much of the best web content is in Flash and will be for some years.
